Sophie Haynes BSc (Hons), BN (Hons), MBAcC
Sophie is a graduate of the International College of Oriental Medicine in East Grinstead. She completed a four year degree course which involved a comprehensive study of both Chinese medicine and western bio-medical sciences, namely; anatomy, physiology and pathology.
Sophie has been treating patients for four years. This has enabled her to develop experience in the general practice of acupuncture and discover particular fields of interests namely: women’s health, fertility and post natal care. She has completed post graduate training in integrated approaches to fertility medicine.
As a holistic practitioner, Sophie believes in a very personal approach to each individual client. One of her goals as a practitioner is to create an environment in which individuals feel safe and secure. Furthermore, Sophie works in partnership with clients, including them actively in the healing process.
Prior to her acupuncture studies, Sophie was a registered adult nurse and worked both within the NHS and private sector. This has provided a firm foundation and allows for the integration of medicine and acupuncture. In addition, Sophie is a qualified massage therapist and often incorporates this into treatments if appropriate.
